Journeyman (JW) Job Calls

Reminder - ANY applicant who has registered on the "Available for Work Book" list must renew his/her registration on the month of the annual date of signature, requirement may be met by appearing in person, fax to (713) 868-6342 or email to [email protected] 

 When accepting a call you MUST have proper ID, SS card, Passport, or any other documents to satisfy I-9 requirements and meet all requirements for a job referral before roll call begins. Please be neat and clean in appearance. Unless otherwise stated, you will report to the shop for paperwork and drug testing immediately after roll call. Then you will report to the jobsite the same day. (NOTICE: Effective 1/5/2012 Referral Agents will be checking for all required documents).

*Effective August 1, 2013 Three Refusal System will be back in effect.* If you refuse three regular job calls, you will be rolled off the book and must come back in person to resign the bottom of the book.

OSHA 30 Classes

Classes will be held for 2 weeks, which will include 5 nights a week from Monday through Friday. (Minimum of 20 members maximum of 25)  **So far 4  members  have registered**

**CLASSES ARE POSTPONED UNTIL A MINIMUM OF 20 MEMBERS HAVE SIGNED UP FOR THE CLASS**

You must pre-register in person at the Local Union Dues’ Office.  There is a $100 deposit (Check, Money Order or Cash) for this class.  **Members with perfect attendance will receive a refund of the deposit**
